WhereItsSunny is a travel planning tool built around one question:"I want to go on vacation this month — where can I go that has the weather I like?"

Every country and major subdivision on the site is classified against five climate profiles — Sunny & Hot, Sunny & Warm, Sunny & Mild, Tropical, and Snowy — for each of the 12 months. Browse by profile, by month, by continent, by region, or drill into a single country's year-round climate.

The data comes from long-term climate normals — the 30-year averages that meteorologists use to describe a place's typical weather. See the methodology page for how we compute and classify everything.
